Volunteers Needed for Welcome Back Event, Jan. 16 & 17
January 4, 2007 | EditorThe Students First Team is once again coordinating this year’s Spring Welcome Back event on the first two days of school at Truax. The purpose of the program is to provide students an opportunity to:
- Get answers to quick questions,
- Acquire directional assistance to classrooms and offices, and
- Obtain referral information so that they can get their business taken care of during the first two days of classes in an inviting manner.
We will need staff, faculty and administrators to volunteer and sign up for a two-hour shift on either Tuesday, January 16, or Wednesday, January 17. No special training is required to be a volunteer, just a desire to make students feel welcome. Volunteers will be provided with referral information in order to assist students.
