About Student Peer Tutoring

Peer Tutoring – students helping students - continues to be available to any current MATC student (including online and those at regional campuses) in need of one-to-one academic assistance. More than 150 Peer Tutors are hired and trained each year, providing tutorial support to over 1,200 students in many different courses.

Students may seek “walk-in help from Peer Tutors scheduled in the Truax Learning Center or request an individual Peer Tutor through the Peer Tutoring Office – Truax Room 232. There is no charge for this service.

The Peer Tutoring Program at MATC is the largest in the WTCS and has recently obtained national certification. For further information, please contact Susan Pitts by email, at (608)246-6731, or stop by Truax, Room 232A.
