check_engine_light1.jpgOnce again, our Driveability Diagnosis class is accepting work requests to diagnose vehicle driveability problems. Please read the rest of this very carefully if you think you have a vehicle that might be a candidate for this.

The criteria we are looking for are as follows:

  1. The vehicle must be exhibiting a “driveability” problem. Driveability is defined as: The general evaluation of an engine’s operating qualities, including (but not limited to) idle smoothness, cold and hot starting, throttle response and power delivery. Also the illumination of the malfunction indicator light - generally labeled as “check engine” or “service engine soon.”
  2. Priority will be given to later model vehicles-(1996 and newer). Depending on response, older vehicles may be considered.
  3. Please contact me by email. Your request will go in a file that I periodically review throughout the quarter (next four weeks) as we need new jobs in the shop. I will contact you if and when we can use your vehicle.
  4. The diagnostic work and labor at no charge to you. You are responsible for paying for parts only.

If your vehicle is experiencing other problems than what was described above please stop in, or call the MATC Auto Parts store (246-6062) to fill out a WORK REQUEST FORM. One of the instructors in another specialty area may be able to help you out.

Thank you very much! We really appreciate the opportunity to use your vehicles as live training aids. Please consider a donation to the MATC Automotive Club when your vehicle is finished.
