Critical Spanish Introductory Language Training

February 16, 2007 | Editor

This course is designed to help MATC staff with basic pronunciation, learn critical phrases likely to be encounter in working with students at the college, practice study techniques for learning languages, and introduces topics on Hispanic/Latino cultures.

With the growing number of Spanish‑speaking students in the district’s service area, it is critical that MATC builds on the expertise and training of the current staff and faculty. There is a choice of two different sessions, and they meet for two hours over four days. This gentle and fun introduction to Spanish will hopefully help you begin your journey to further learning the language, enhance the welcoming environment of the college, and provide a road map to fluency.

Registration is required to help us with the planning. This is done at the CETL website. Look under the “Professional Development option. For help with registration, see the Step-by-Step Information Sheet (PDF: 40KB).
Conveniently scheduled, short term commitment and a really fun way to learn Spanish. No previously language training is required, and there is no cost to attend the training. Sign up now!!
