Here are some Thank You Notes we’ve received for the You Go Girl/You Go Guy Single Parent Scholarships:

I would like to thank you very much for the award of $100. Just being considered is humbling to say the least. Being both a single parent as well as a student has been both rewarding and very challenging. I also have a disability which makes every day life very difficult at times. My goal is to graduate by May of 2008 with an Associate Degree in Mechanical Design Technology. With a great deal of hope, I would like to re-enter the working world with a company that respects women and somebody with a disability. - MATC Single Mom

A word of thanks can hardly say enough. How much your kindness meant to me and my family. Thank you! I must conclude, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude! - MATC Single Mom

Thank you very much for bringing a smile to my face and the faces of my children. Being a single parent is not an easy task… you have to wear many hats between everyday life, school and work. I am truly grateful. My hat goes off to ALL single parents. - MATC Single Mom

I would like to take a moment to thank you for awarding me a You Go Girl Scholarship. I plan to apply this scholarship toward my studies at MATC in the IT Program Analyst Program. - MATC Single Mom

Thank you so much for the single parent scholarship. It will help me out a great deal! Your kindness and thoughtfulness are much appreciated! - MATC Single Mom

I would like to say thank you from myself and my family for the single parent scholarship. It really helped with the price of my books! - MATC Single Mom

I am attending MATC to achieve an Associate Degree in the Dietetic Technician program. Then hopefully in the future, I will complete a Bachelor’s Degree. I am sure that it is going to be very difficult at times. It is great to have positive people all around MATC to help me out! Thanks! - MATC Single Mom

I am in the second semester of the Practical Nursing program. I am finding college to be a lot of work, but am really enjoying it. I have a five year old daughter. She is my strength and what keeps me going. I am much happier in my life since I’ve started this program. I feel that I am part of something and certainly somebody my daughter will be proud of. All the donors for the Single Parent scholarships really make school a lot easier. God Bless and thanks so much! - MATC Single Mom

I am currently in the Medical Assistant program and will graduate in May. In a few years, I would like to return to MATC and complete an Associate Degree in Nursing. I have always held nurses in the highest regard. I cannot express how much the single parent scholarship means to me as well as my three year old son. This will help us out immensely. Thank you for this opportunity. I look forward to meeting the donors at the Foundation Awards Breakfast. - MATC Single Mom

I just wanted to say thank you so much for your kindness. It truly means more than you will ever know! - MATC Single Mom

I am a returning adult student and have decided to pursue a career in Nursing. I’ve found that I enjoy working with the geriatric population. This career choice allows me to do fulfill a need in our society. Thank you very much for your kind consideration. - MATC Single Mom
