SEVEN-DAY CARIBBEAN CRUISE OFFERED
The Culinary Arts Program of Blackhawk Technical College, led by Chef Mark Olson, CEC, is offering a Culinary Signature Cruise of the eastern Caribbean December 30, 2007, to January 6, 2008, on the ms Westerdam. This seven-day cruise, which leaves from Fort Lauderdale, FL, visits ports in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, and Half Moon Cay.
Chef Olson will conduct demonstrations and classes in the new Culinary Arts Center, and a portion of the fare will go towards BTC’s Culinary Endowment Fund for student scholarships. The Westerdam offers numerous amenities for both adults and children, and the ports offer a myriad of opportunities. You have a choice of large interior stateroom accommodations (per person) at $1,169 (published cruise fare lists at $1,380) up to superior verandah suites at $2,589 (published cruise fare is $3,260). Taxes, fees, and port charges of $222 would be extra. Also, you would need to travel to Fort Lauderdale to embark. A deposit of $350 per person will hold your reservation, due by May 15 (but it is best to make reservations earlier to insure your stateroom choice). Group Travel can also assist with air reservations to Fort Lauderdale if desired.
Come and play in the blue Caribbean, enjoy superb dining, and support BTC’s culinary students!
