Congratulations to the students listed below. They qualified to represent the State of Wisconsin in their competitive events at the 2007 Wisconsin Marketing & Management Association State Leadership Conference held at The Concourse Hotel, March 7‑10, 2007, here in Madison. They each took a written exam in their field, participated in two role plays in business simulations, did a case study, or had a prepared presentation in a realistic business situation. Their judges were business executives and personnel from around Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota.
Roberta Cook was elected to the office of State Parliamentarian, won the WMMA Alumni Outstanding Student of the Year, placed first in her event and was offered a Job and attendance at a financial seminar with all expenses paid. William Karow received first place in the E‑Commerce and received a corporate scholarship to aid in his attendance at the International CDC to be held in Florida.
Congratulations go to David Kasten, from the Graphics Services department who received the 2007 William E. Marotz Award. This award is presented to business professionals who have shown support, guidance, and encouragement to students in the WI Marketing and Management Association. It is through Dave’s participation or preparation of students for their various conferences that he is recognized. He has assisted in the promotion of the organization with the design of programs, campaign materials, and statewide brochures for the organization.
