MATC Matters

Here’s the planned work for the week of April 2, for East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street):

• Continued work in the median for temporary crossovers
• Work on Sanitary sewer in East Washington near East Johnson Street
• Sanitary sewer and water main work crossing East Washington at Webb Avenue / McCormick
• Bridge work near the Starkweather Creek
• Temporary asphalt work in the median
• Traffic control set up for stage 2 at the end of the week
• Work by private utility companies
• Anticipated switch to stage two by Monday April 9

Here’s the planned work for the week of April 2, for East Washington Avenue (Thornton Avenue to Second Street):

• Work is beginning on grading for the bike paths, and work on the retaining walls on the south side of the bridge

Bus stops will be maintained in the construction zone, See Metro website or project website - “Metro Transit During Construction” for details.

There will be no parking on East Washington Avenue in the construction zone.

Alternative Routes are I90/94 and the beltline.
