RE: SUMMER CONSTRUCTION
DATE: APRIL 18, 2007

Facilities is preparing for this summer’s construction and remodeling projects. At Truax, the main projects include a two-story building addition above classrooms 192A and B at the far northeast corner of the main building, remodeling of the existing second floor space in the Art Department adjacent to the new construction, remodeling of existing second floor space in the area to the east of the escalators for the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL), and remodeling of Room 369/Center for Business and Applied Arts. The addition to the third floor will include a faculty office area with 22 additional faculty workstations and conference room.

Several staff will be relocated over the summer, for faculty from 362 and 378C, we have reserved Rooms 380A and 380B for temporary summer accommodations. For faculty in Room 292A and Room 189, room 141A has been reserved for summer. The 369 administration and staff will be relocated/surged to Room 386 for the summer.

The 189 faculty will not have any work done in their office space, but need to be relocated because of the construction going on above their office.

For more details regarding the summer construction projects, please visit the facilities website.
