MATC Matters

In order to best meet the needs of interim and summer school students, the college council has approved a proposal to maintain the current service hours through the summer months for MATC’s designated service areas. These service areas include:

Truax: Welcome Center, Enrollment Center, Student Development Center, Campus Life and Enrichment Center (Student Life). Bursar and Bookstore will be offering this expanded service in the near future.

DTEC: Student Services, Enrollment and Information Center

Regional Campuses are staffed during these hours as well. The library will also be open and continue their normal summer hours.

Because many interim and summer classes are offered in the evenings, the extended summer coverage will allow these areas to maintain their level of service to students, such as student orientation opportunities, advising assistance, registration support and other student-driven activities.

In turn, the summer service hours will allow the various work units across campus to use the expanded schedules to create more flex time options for employees.

Designated service area summer hours:
Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Fridays, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The first Saturday of the month (June 2, July 7, August 4), 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The exception will be the week of July 2-6, when service areas will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. In addition to it being a holiday week, the school will be performing a PeopleSoft conversion during that time, and services to students will be limited due to scheduled system shutdowns.
