New student ambassador for MATC selected
May 10, 2007 | EditorEach year, the Wisconsin Technical College System selects one student from each of Wisconsin’s 16 technical college districts to be a State Ambassador. This year’s ambassador from MATC is Jeffrey Fahrenbach, a student in the two-year Liberal Arts Transfer program. He plans to continue his studies after MATC to earn a degree in Elementary Education.
Jeff says he was unsure of his career goals directly after high school, but after taking some career goal assessment tests, discovered he is interested in and well-suited for teaching and working with young children.
A well-known face around the college’s Downtown Education Center, Jeff works in the Downtown bookstore and mailroom. As ambassador, he would like to strengthen the ties between the Downtown and Truax locations and among the regional campuses for both students and staff. He says he is looking forward to representing the college throughout WTCS.
