RE: VICE PRESIDENT FOR INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES

DATE: MAY 11, 2007

I am writing to announce the appointment of Roger Price as Vice President for Infrastructure Services. In this position, Roger will provide leadership to the MATC District in operational services areas that include policy formulation and oversight; district financial services; facilities master planning, management and maintenance; public safety; information technology; and district budget development and management.

Roger currently serves as Assistant Superintendent Business Services for the Madison Metropolitan School District and brings nearly 30 years of experience in public education business management to MATC. For the past 8 years, Roger has served as the chief financial and operations officer for the Madison Metropolitan School District with responsibility for finance and budget, facilities, food services, technology and administrative services such as transportation, insurance, purchasing and printing. In addition, he has served as secretary to the school board.

Roger has worked in businesses management for the Oregon, River Falls and Appleton Area school districts. His background also includes teaching experience in higher education. For the past 12 years he has taught graduate courses in auxiliary services and current issues in the School of Business Management at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

In 2006, the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials honored Roger by selecting him for the Wally Zastro Lifetime Achievement Award. He is chair of the University of Wisconsin School Business Management Advisory Committee, a member and past president of the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials, a past chair and member of the Madison Area School Business Officials and a member of the Wisconsin Investment Services Consortium. He also is a past president of the Rotary Club of Oregon, Wisconsin.

Roger will assume his new duties at MATC in June, succeeding Rick Graves, who has served as interim Vice President Infrastructure Services for the past two years and will be leaving this position at the end of next month.

Many of you had the opportunity to meet Roger at the candidate forum we held last week. Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to become acquainted with him and provide input about his candidacy. I ask everyone to join me in welcoming Roger Price to MATC.

Bettsey L. Barhorst, Ph.D.
