FACULTY: Service Learning Summer Institute

On June 20 and 21, MATC will host the first annual summer institute for service learning. ALL faculty are invited to attend at no cost. Join technical college faculty from the WTCS at this two-day professional development program, sponsored by CETL, that will provide a framework for the understanding and implementation of service learning opportunities. This institute can be applied toward certification requirements for full and part time faculty.
Guest Speakers will include: (1) Roseanna Ross, National Society for Experiential Learning 2006 Pioneer in Experiential Learning Award and national presenter on experiential education theory and practice; (2) Gwen Nyden, co‑author of A Practical Guide for Integrating Civic Responsibility into the Curriculum; (3) Other guest speakers include various technical college faculty and service learning coordinators.
