Find out more about the Project Management Certificate
May 15, 2007 | EditorProject management is an integral part of all business practices. Project management - a process as well as a set of tools and techniques - concerns defining project goals, planning activities to reach the goals, project leadership, project monitoring, and project reporting and evaluation.
The business technology department offers a Project Management Certificate,
consisting of the following courses: Microsoft Project application software, Fundamentals of Meeting Management, Project Management and Coordination, and a spreadsheet or customer service skill course.
The two-credit MS Project software course is offered in the fall on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. This course will use MS Project software to plan a project, create a project schedule, communicate project information, assign resources and costs, and track the project’s progress through to completion.
See the Project Management Certificate webpage to view the curriculum; also, read previous students’ comments (WORD: 24KB) on the course.
