Thank you to all who assisted with Commencement
May 29, 2007 | EditorWe would like to take a quick minute of your time to thank you all of you who participated and assisted at the Commencement Ceremony this past Sunday (May 20). Commencement is a time for students, their families and the campus community to celebrate and reflect upon their accomplishments at Madison Area Technical College. This spring approximately 800 attended the ceremony.
For those of you attended or watched live on the internet we hope that you found the ceremony to be one of both dignity and celebration. If you didn’t have a chance to attend but would have liked to experience the ceremony, it’s not too late. For the next 30 days the ceremony can be viewed on the web at http://matcmadison.edu/matc/ and clicking on to the Graduation link on the A‑Z index.
For those of you who were in attendance, we understand there are still opportunities to enhance the ceremony for the future and hope that you won’t hesitate to share your thoughts. If you saw things that created problems or didn’t work well, we would like to hear from you so that we don’t have the same problems in the future. At the same time we would ask that you share features of the ceremony that went well and should be continued.
Finally, there are some faculty gown and hoods still floating around out there. If by chance you didn’t return your academic regalia following the ceremony, I would ask that you please bring them to the Student Life Office (Truax Rm. 140, phone 246‑6224). Again, thank you for your participation, assistance and extra effort.
