Nursing instructor Barbara King has received a prestigious scholarship from the John A. Hartford Foundation to help support her doctoral research in nursing.

The scholarship is part of the Building Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity (BAGNC) Program from the American Academy of Nursing. The program supports nursing scholars who are undertaking research on vital aging issues and those who plan to work in leadership positions in institutions serving the elderly.

Barbara is one of only 24 scholars and fellows selected for 2007 from around the country. She is the first from Wisconsin to receive the scholarship.

Congratulations, Barbara!
