East Washington Ave. Construction Update

Here’s the planned work for the week of June 25 for East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street)

Reconstruction of the median from 3rd Street to 6th Street continues. Work in this section includes:

  • Early the week of 6/25 – preparation of the median for traffic switch to stage 4A. The traffic will switch to stage 4A is expected on Monday July 2nd – all traffic will be on the new concrete pavement. A crossover is placed between 6th and 7th Streets.

Reconstruction of the outbound lanes from 7th Street to Marquette Street

  • Grading from Milwaukee Street to Marquette Street
  • Storm sewer from Milwaukee Street to Marquette Street
  • Water main and storm sewer work from Marquette Street towards Hwy 30
  • Bridge work for the roadway structure over Starkweather Creek, and for the new pedestrian structure
  • Work by private utility companies

Bus stops will be maintained in the construction zone, See Metro website or project website - “Metro Transit During Construction� for details.
