East Washington Ave. Construction Update
June 27, 2007 | EditorHere’s the planned work for the week of July 2 for East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street)
A traffic switch to stage 4 is anticipated on Friday 6/29. Inbound traffic will be placed on the new concrete pavement from 7th to 3rd Street.
Reconstruction of the inbound lanes will begin next week with:
- Removal of existing pavement and grading
- Tree removal
- Removal of Street lights
- Water main construction
Reconstruction of the outbound lanes from 7th Street to Marquette Street
- Grading from Milwaukee Street to Marquette Street
- Storm sewer from Marquette Street towards Hwy 30
- Trimming and adjustments for concrete pavement (concrete pavement anticipated July 9th)
- Bridge work for the roadway structure over Starkweather Creek, and for the new pedestrian structure
- Work by private utility companies
Bus stops will be maintained in the construction zone, See Metro website or project website - “Metro Transit During Construction� for details.
