Here’s the planned work for the week of July 9 for East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street)

Stage 4 (3rd to 7th Street):

• North 4^th Street will be closed Monday morning 7/9 thru Thursday 7/12 for pavement removal, water main and sanitary sewer
• Removal of existing pavement and grading
• Water main construction
• Sanitary Sewer construction

Reconstruction of the outbound lanes from Milwaukee Street to Marquette Street

• Concrete Paving: Union Street will be closed, south side of Johnson Street will be closed and Oak Street will be closed. Milwaukee Street and Marquette Street will remain open.
• Bridge work for the roadway structure over Starkweather Creek, and for the new pedestrian structure
• Grading from Starkweather Creek towards Hwy 30
• Water services from Starkweather Creek towards Hwy 30
• Work by private utility companies

Bus stops will be maintained in the construction zone, See Metro website or project website - “Metro Transit During Construction� for details. There will be no parking on East Washington Avenue in the construction zone. Alternative Routes are I90/94 and the beltline. The field office phone is (608) 242-7305, fax is (608) 242-7317.
