East Washington Ave. Construction Update
July 9, 2007 | EditorHere’s the planned work for the week of July 9 for East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street)
Stage 4 (3rd to 7th Street):
- North 4th Street will be closed Monday morning 7/9 thru Thursday 7/12 for pavement removal, water main and sanitary sewer
- Removal of existing pavement and grading
- Water main construction
- Sanitary Sewer construction
Reconstruction of the outbound lanes from Milwaukee Street to Marquette Street
- Concrete Paving: Union Street will be closed, south side of Johnson Street will be closed and Oak Street will be closed. Milwaukee Street and Marquette Street will remain open.
- Bridge work for the roadway structure over Starkweather Creek, and for the new pedestrian structure
- Grading from Starkweather Creek towards Hwy 30
- Water services from Starkweather Creek towards Hwy 30
- Work by private utility companies
Bus stops will be maintained in the construction zone, See Metro website or project website - “Metro Transit During Construction� for details.
