New recycling vendor for Madison, Fort, Reedsburg and Watertown
July 31, 2007 | EditorOn Wednesday, August 1, 2007, we will have a new vendor in Madison, Fort Atkinson, Watertown and Reedsburg Campuses for our rubbish/recycle services. We will start a new program, “Single Sort” Recycling at all of the above campuses. (your current blue recycle container will be used for “Single Sort” Recycling)
Below is an introduction letter from “Waste Management.” The attached is information on Single Sort Recycling (PDF: 1.7MB) in English or Spanish that can be printed out and should be kept close to your work stations so that you can remember what can be recycled and what cannot. Please feel free to email me, Tom Riffle, or call 243-4020 for any questions.

Dear MATC:
Recycling made easy. Waste Management is proud to introduce our Single Sort recycling program. At Waste Management we pride ourselves on keeping you at the edge of innovation.
Why is Waste Management offering this program to you?
- Single Sort makes recycling easy. All your recyclables go in one container.
- Single Sort increases recycling participation. Simple means of recycling can lead to more recycling and more recycling means less material being thrown into a landfill.
Good news! Single Sort will not impact your current recycling rate.
There may be items you are currently placing in the trash that can be recycled through our Single Sort program. Plastic bottles with a neck and box board from cereal, chip, cake, and cracker boxes can now be recycled. Please take a few minutes to review the list of recyclables items for the materials you may be able to place in your Single Sort container.
Waste Management would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing our organization for servicing your solid waste and recycling needs. We truly appreciate your business.
Please contact our Customer Service Center at 877-969-2783 if you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance to you.
Sincerely,
WM – Madison, Wisconsin
