East Washington Ave. Construction Update
August 1, 2007 | EditorHere’s the planned work for the week of August 6 for East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street)
Stage 4 – Reconstruction of the inbound lanes from 3rd to 6th Street:
- Concrete paving – curb and gutter, side streets, mainline
- North 4th Street closed Friday 8/3 into Saturday 8/4 for concrete paving of East Washington.
- North 4th Street closed mid to end next week for concrete paving of N. 4th and East Washington
Stage 2 - Reconstruction of the outbound lanes from Milwaukee Street to Marquette Street:
- Topsoil and sod
- Asphalt pavement on the side roads
- Street lights and signals
- Pavement marking
- Traffic control
- Bridge work for the new pedestrian structure, and work on the north side of East Washington Avenue
Traffic switch to stage 3 anticipated on Thursday 8/9. Outbound traffic will be placed on the new concrete pavement from 6th Street to Marquette Street. Extension of underground utilities across the median will begin.
