Here’s the planned work for the week of August 6 for East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street)

Stage 4 – Reconstruction of the inbound lanes from 3rd to 6th Street:

• Concrete paving – sidewalks and driveways
• Underground electrical work
• Asphalt paving on side streets
• Topsoil and landscaping work

Stage 3 - Reconstruction of the outbound lanes from Milwaukee Street to Marquette Street:

A traffic switch is anticipated this week to place the outbound traffic on the new concrete pavement from 6th Street to Marquette Street.

Work will begin Thursday in the median of East Washington Avenue.

• The median at Johnson Street will be closed starting Thursday August 9th and the closure will continue to Monday morning August 13th. During this work, only right turns will be permitted at this intersection. Left turns onto and off of East Washington will not be permitted and traffic from Johnson Street must turn right.
• The median at Milwaukee Street will be closed starting Monday morning August 13th and will continue through Friday August 17th. During this work, only right turns will be permitted at this intersection. Left turns onto and off of East Washington will not be permitted and traffic from Milwaukee Street must turn right.
• Underground utilities will be extended across the median and preparation for the next major stage of construction
• Bridge work for the new pedestrian structure, and work on the north side of East Washington Avenue
