Here’s the planned work for the week of August 27 for East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street)

Stage 5 – Reconstruction of the median from 3rd to 6th Street:

• Topsoil and landscaping work
• Median concrete curb and gutter and median paving
• The median at 4th Street is anticipated to be closed from Tuesday 8/28 to Wednesday 8/29 for concrete paving. Traffic will be restricted to right in and right out access to and from East Washington from 4th Street.
• Electrical work in the median

Stage 4 – Reconstruction of the inbound lanes from 6th Street to Marquette Street:

• Removal of existing roadway and grading
• Water main construction
• Bridge work for the new pedestrian structure
• Demolition of existing roadway bridge
• Work by private utility companies
