Sara McKay and Lindsay DeWaide, MATC judicial reporting program students, were selected to receive $1,000 scholarships in the 2nd annual Gramann Reporting, Ltd. competition.

These scholarships are awarded annually to the two reporting students that have accomplished a speed level over 100 wpm after their first school year, have maintained a high GPA, have a financial need, and have overall exemplified quality characteristics the court reporting world is seeking from program graduates.

“This year,” according to Bob Gramann, principal of the Milwaukee‑based freelance reporting firm, “it was particularly difficult to decide on the winners given the large number that participated and the quality of the applicants.”

Gramann, a member of the judicial reporting/broadcast caption program advisory committee, further commented, “My thanks to those involved at MATC, Lisa Hubacher, Rachel Baker, and Rollie Cox, for carrying out this fine educational program and putting forth the extra effort that it takes to help these students make it through this difficult program.”
