Beginning on Monday, September 24, Jody Thrush-Withers, former Dean of Arts & Sciences, will join the Learner Development team as the interim Associate Dean for Retention & Student Development. We are very fortunate that we have the opportunity to bring Jody back as she knows the college very well and has the leadership experiences that will be a great asset to all of us during the interim.

Jody will be responsible for supervising all ACR staff and providing leadership for the day-to-day operations of the center. Duties will include enhancing communication and collaboration among the ACR and center advisors, coordinating the career services self-study, assisting in the creation of the ACR unit plan and working with Pat Olson on the continued development of our one‑stop intake process. Additionally, Jody will be working with Ann DeArmond, Sue Carter and Janice Mettauer on the creation of strategies for the final implementation of the MAAP process.

Also, please note that the Associate Dean for Retention and Student Development position is now posted. It can be found on the web by going to the MATC homepage, clicking on the MATC Jobs, and then selecting search postings. Please feel free to share with individuals whom you know that might be interested and qualified for the position.
