Campus Fun Day at Truax

Please let your students know that we invite them to participate in the first ever Campus Fun Day (PDF: 1.7MB) to be held on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the gymnasium entrance to the Truax campus.
The focus of the event will be five competitions that students can participate in on behalf of a student club or organization. Those five competitions are:
- A penny drive fund‑raiser for the American Red Cross
- Big wheel races
- Bean bag toss
- Paper airplane toss
- Mini golf
Each person competing on behalf of a club or organization will earn a point for that student group (the penny drive will earn points based on money raised). In addition, bonus points will be awarded for the person who wins each competition.
The club or student organization with the most points will receive an after‑hours pizza party in the WolfPack Den at a time of their choosing during the school year. They will also have their club’s name engraved on a yet‑to‑be‑purchased traveling trophy for the event.
In addition to the competitions, we will have music, food and free tie‑dye t‑shirts for students. But students must compete in at least one event to be eligible to make their own tie‑dye t‑shirts.
We hope this will be a fun day for everyone on campus and will prove to be a better way for students to learn about the variety of student groups available to them than simply handing out brochures at a table.
