East Washington Ave. Construction Update
September 27, 2007 | EditorHere’s the planned work for the remainder of the week:
- Concrete pavement from Johnson Street to 6th Street
- North Street remains closed until Saturday for sanitary sewer and storm sewer
- Crews are continuing installation of sanitary sewer from Johnson to Oak Street
- The intersection of McCormick and East Washington will be closed at 7:30am on Thursday and be opened later that same day
- Oak Street will close on Friday and be closed into next week
Here’s the planned work for the week of October 1 for East Washington Avenue (Second Street to Marquette Street):
Work in the median from 3rd to 6th Street (possible lane closure from 9am to 3pm)
- Installation of new fence
Stage 4 – Reconstruction of the inbound lanes from 6th Street to Marquette Street:
- North Street will close again at 6am on Monday 10/1 thru Thursday 10/4 for concrete paving of East Washington and North Street
- Concrete paving the other lanes on East Washington from Johnson Street to 6th Street, and paving of 7th Street, North Street and Pawling Street
- Sanitary sewer construction from Johnson to Marquette Street
- Storm sewer construction from Johnson Street to Oak Street
- Grading and base course from Johnson Street to Oak Street
- Electrical work
- Bridge work for the new pedestrian structure
- Bridge work for the new roadway bridge
- Water main and sanitary sewer construction from Starkweather Creek to McCormick
- Work by private utility companies
