Foundations of Excellence Survey

MATC is participating in the Foundations of Excellence in the First College Year comprehensive, guided self‑study process this year. The result of the process will be an action plan that will assist the College to coordinate, expand and improve upon its existing services for first‑year students.

As part of the process, faculty and staff are being asked to complete a survey about the College’s first‑year programming. The questions are related to nine dimensions that determine an effective program. There are also some questions specifically related to MATC. The nine dimension committee members will analyze and interpret the results of the survey and other information and data and then make recommendations for change and improvement related to the first college year.

You received an email on Monday, October 1, from Debbie Derr with an invitation to complete the survey and a link to the web page. The survey is anonymous and takes 10‑15 minutes to complete.

The self‑study task force: Debbie Derr, Keith Cornille, Scott Beard, Janice Mettauer and Marty Crabbs, ask that you take the time to complete the survey so that we can get a sense of the College’s needs related to the first year.

The information is essential to the process. If the College can take a candid and critical look at the first year of our students and put together a plan to support them during this critical time, we will improve our students’ retention and success.
