United Common Ground (UCG)Presents Dia de Los Muertos on Nov. 1, 2007 in the Truax Cafeteria from noon to 2 p.m.
UCG presents an intergenerational project with the bi‑lingual classes of Leopold Elementary School to bring awareness to campus regarding the traditional Latin celebration of Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead).
There will be music, songs and customary “pan de muertos”, a sugar skull decorating workshop, a power point presentation designed by Leopold students and an alter display.

UCG is also sponsoring an alter building contest. If any student, staff or faculty would like to participate, please contact Susana Valtierra, Student Life‑Rm 140, 246‑6495. Alters will be displayed in the North Hallway‑Truax Campus from October 25 to November 2.
