MATC faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to a reception from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. October 17 in the Truax Board Room welcoming Jacoline Grunbauer, a visiting scholar from the Netherlands to MATC. Jacoline will be staying with MATC accounting instructor Dana Carpenter from October 13‑27 as part of the ICISP faculty exchange program.

Jacoline coordinates curriculum for management assistants students at ROC Aventus college in the Netherlands. She also teachers German and participates in national projects on distance learning. Please welcome her to MATC over snacks and conversation this Wednesday.

The ICISP faculty exchange program matches faculty, staff, and administrators with individuals in similar fields of work from European colleges and universities for a two week learning exchange. Jacoline will visit classes, meet with MATC faculty and staff, and otherwise learn about our institution and share ideas about teaching this October. In May 2008, Dana will travel to the Netherlands where she will be hosted in Jacoline’s home for two weeks and will visit her institution.

This exchange program is open to all full time MATC faculty. Applications for 2008‑09 exchanges will take place in spring 2008. Participants must be able to host the European visitor in their homes for the duration of the US exchange, MATC pays for the airfare for MATC faculty to travel to Europe.
