Changes in WPS health insurance

Effective January 1, 2008, the in‑network deductible will be $250 for a single plan, and $500 for a family plan. Please keep these new amounts in mind when you are enrolling in your flexible spending plan for 2008. For your reference, see the new WPS Comparison Chart part 1 (PDF: 424 KB) and WPS Comparison Chart part 2 (PDF: 376KB). WPS will be sending out new insurance cards in December; please watch for them at your home address.
In addition, effective January 1, 2008, a third tier will be added to the WPS prescription drug program. The cost of generic drugs are $5, the cost of formulary brand name drugs are $15, and the cost of non‑formulary brand name drugs are $25. I have attached the current formulary list (PDF: 1.5MB) from Medco to this email. It may be helpful for you to bring this list to your doctor if you will be renewing a current prescription or you will be prescribed a new medication.
