“Voting Paradoxes” is the title of MATC Math Club’s upcoming presentation to be held on February 19 at 3:30 p.m. in Room 321 at Truax. The lecture will be presented by Professor Susan Hollingsworth of Edgewood College.
In her lecture, Professor Hollingsworth asks, “Are voting systems fair?” “Do they really reflect the will of the people?” In this hour, we will investigate some of the difficulties that arise when we choose methods for allowing people to cast their votes.

Susan Hollingsworth is a professor of mathematics at Edgewood College, where she has been teaching for two years. She particularly enjoys playing with graphs, matrices and the interconnections that lie between.
