RE: Forum on Campus Safety and Security

Yesterday (Tuesday, February 19, 2008) students and staff were notified of the Forum on Campus Safety and Security scheduled for Thursday, February 21, 2008, from 11 a.m. to noon. At the time the communication was sent details were not yet available, but have since been finalized. We hope the information immediately following will be helpful in allowing your participation.

  • WHAT: Campus Safety and Security Forum
  • WHEN: Thursday, February 21, 2008 - 11 a.m. to Noon
  • WHERE: Truax Campus, Student Lounge (Rm. 142)

In Person Participation:
For those participants who are able to attend the forum in person, please join us at 11 a.m. at the Truax campus in the Student Lounge (Rm. 142). We realize your schedule may not allow you to stay for the full one hour, but welcome you to attend as much of the presentation as your schedule permits.

Web Streaming:
For individuals who are unable to attend the presentation live, we have arranged to have the Forum streamed live via the MATC website. To access the forum in this manner, please go to the MATC Security Services web page and click on the “Security Forum” link. After the forum, this link will continue to be accessible for future viewing.

For those of you unable to attend the live presentation, we have established an email account where you can send your questions and concerns. This address is: campussecuritysafety@matcmadison.edu. We will not monitor the email and take email questions during the forum. Rather, we will compile the questions received and develop a communication method to ensure your questions and concerns are answered.

This is your opportunity to become updated on campus community safety and security activities. We encourage you to take advantage of one of the options made available to participate in the forum.
