WACTE members raise funds for WHA-TV
March 4, 2008 | EditorMembers of MATC’s Local 27 Chapter of the Wisconsin Association for Career and Technical Education (WACTE) raised nearly $15,000 during WHA-TV’s annual fund drive. Members of the group answered phones and took pledges on Sunday afternoon, March 2.
Attending were Cindy Bowen, Sue Carter, Pearl Dunn, Paul Flogel, Robin Gee, Cheryl Krueger, Mae Laatsch, Sandy Middleton and Tonya Vertein. Congratulations to all!
The drive is an annual volunteer effort by the group. Community service such as the public television fund drive are part of WACTE’s mission to promote and support education. The organization also holds book sales and other events designed to raise money for scholarships for MATC students and works on promoting legislation favorable to career and technical education.
