MATC hosts successful BPA State Leadership Conference
March 7, 2008 | EditorThis past weekend, 14 MATC business students competed in workplace skills events at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference. The conference was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Madison and hosted by the Madison Area Technical College Business & Applied Arts Center.
Dean Kathleen Radionoff welcomed the technical college students to Madison at the first general session. In addition, many of the MATC accounting/business faculty participated as administrators and judges for the events held on our campus.
At this conference, business students competed in a variety of business skills events in the areas of Financial Services, Administrative Support, Information Technology, and Management/Marketing/Human Resources. Once again, the MATC students participating did a great job showing off their skills and representing our programs.
Attached is a summary of the recognition received by the local chapter and the individual participants at the BPA conference (WORD: 1.6MB). Eleven students qualified to attend the BPA National Leadership Conference in Reno, NV, from May 7-11. We have much to be proud of!
