MATC Matters

The Wisconsin Association for Career and Technical Education (WACTE) is sponsoring a “calendar raffleâ€? for the month of June. WACTE chapters across the state (including our MATC chapter) are selling tickets for $5 each. Tickets are available from WACTE members Pat Prihoda and Paul Flogel, and you can stop by District Stores at Truax for one. Get ‘em early because they go fast. Proceeds benefit WACTE scholarships and support activities.

How the calendar raffle works: A ticket will be drawn at each day, Monday through Friday during the month of June. If your ticket is drawn on a Monday, you win $100, on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, you win $50 or Friday, you win $75. When a name is drawn, it goes back into the “bucket� for another chance to win. What a deal - 25 chances to win for only $5!

WACTE raises money for student scholarships and offers professional development opportunities to its members. WACTE members work to raise awareness and educate the public and legislators on technical and career education issues and concerns. Anyone who is interested in promoting technical and career education and who would like to contribute their energy and enthusiasm is welcome to join!
