Math Club’s 74th Monthly Presentation (Season’s Finale)

The Tower of Hanoi Puzzle originally appeared as an interesting amusement and curiosity in the latter part of the 19th century. Recently there has been a
renewed interest in this popular puzzle, it can be used to introduce the idea of recursion. Some variations of the puzzle such as allowing an additional peg
leads to interesting questions and conjectures.

Norbert J. Kuenzi Professor Ph.D. (1969); University of Iowa Research Interest:
Probability. This will be Norb’s fifth presentation to our Math Club.

Also, all invited to Friends of Math Club, Annual Spring Pot Luck, Tuesday, May 13, noon‑1 p.m., Room #129B‑D. Please bring an ethnic dish to share.
