MATC Baseball Player, Evan Kohli, receives All-American Honors

Evan Kohli, starting first-basemen and pitcher for the 2008 Madison Area Technical College (MATC) Baseball team and former Hutchinson H.S. (Hutchinson, MN) standout, has become the 15th All-American in MATC Baseball history and the fifth MATC Baseball player in the last five years to receive All-American honors.
Kohli received third team NJCAA Division II All-American honors for his play this season.
Kohli was second team in batting average (.375), slugging percentage (.514), hits (54), and doubles (15) during his sophomore season at MATC. On the mound, Kohli made a team-high ten starts while posting a 5-3 record to go with a 3.46 ERA.
Kohli is currently playing in the Northwoods League for the Madison Mallards.
