MATC Matters

During the months of March and April, Davidson Services and Io Consulting performed a business process review of the financial services areas within MATC. Fifty-six interviews were performed in the areas of Financial Services, Human Resources, Support Services and Budgeting.

The results of the review included 94 recommendation that focused on business simplification, organizational change, process enhancements and PeopleSoft changes.

Over the next 15 months, MATC will engage in specific work efforts to include:

• Simplification of the budgeting setup used within PeopleSoft
• Restructuring of the existing Chart of Accounts
• Assisting and documenting Year End and Month End Closing processes
• Providing assistance to the Human Resources and Payroll departments in the implementation of time dependent applications
• Developing an Enterprise Point of Sale (POS) recommendation to standardize the collection of re-sale information, improve the cash collection processes and interface directly with PeopleSoft
