MATC receives commendation from Policy Center on First Year of College
July 1, 2008 | EditorKathleen M. Morley, Ph.D., a fellow at the Policy Center on the First Year of College, has informed MATC that we have received a letter of commendation for participation in and work with the Foundations of Excellence self-study of the first year of college.
Says Dr. Morley, “As the attached letter of commendation (WORD: 28KB) indicates, I am writing to let you know how impressed I am with the quality of the Dimension reports submitted by the MATC committees…It has been a pleasure working with your MATC colleagues-they have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the new student experience at MATC. Congratulations!”
The letter mentions specifically the leadership of Janice L. Mettauer, MATC’s director of First Semester Experience, who served as MATC’s liaison for the self-study. Congratulations to Janice, the entire first-semester experience team and to the college as a whole!
