German delegation visits MATC

MATC was an important stop on the itinerary of a delegation from Kassel (KAH-sel) Germany who visited the college this week. The delegation was interested in learning more about MATC and our technical college system. They were especially interested in worker retraining and economic development.
Wisconsin has had a sister-state relationship with the German state of Hessen (where Kassel is), since 1976. Dane County Board members visited Hessen last year–to get a better look at the German’s commuter rail system. Historically, Kassel is the home of the Brothers Grimm.
