Portage hosts second annual Tech College 4 Kids event

Fifteen middle school students participated in the second annual Tech College 4 Kids event at MATC Portage campus last week. The event engages the students in hands-on activities that expose them to potential careers. Activities included Computer Creations, World of Wheels, Firefighting 101 and Teen Cuisine.
Faculty John Palacios, Randy Sellnow and Emmalee Pearson volunteered their time to work with these young people. CJ Frost from the local Bud’s Pizza (and son of Portage staff person Kathy Frost) also participated. Additional Technology 4 Kids (PDF: 260KB) photos attached.
