Re: Reporting Requirements For Non-Attendance Of Students

The College is required by State and/or Federal mandate to report non-attendance of students receiving federal financial aid, federal veterans’ benefits and students participating in Youth Options. The College addresses these requirements through the procedure where instructors record a ‘N’ for Nonattendance. Therefore, as soon as you have made a determination that the student should be recorded as a ‘N’ for Nonattendance for your course, please report this status on your grade roster and submit them to the Enrollment Center at Truax. Note: With the rollout of Faculty Center, we would prefer a business process to record ‘N’ for Nonattendance online, but there are modifications we need to make with the technology before that is possible. Stay tuned for that enhancement! So, for now, you need to use the paper Grade Roster to notify us of Nonattendance.

See the Grade Roster Timeline (PDF: 28K) for when you can expect to receive your grade rosters from the Registrar’s office.

Once submitted, the grade will be reflected on the student record and may be viewed within your Faculty Center in PeopleSoft within three days after you have submitted your grade roster to the Enrollment Center office at Truax and/or the grade will show on the final grade roster.

Please refer any student who may be attending your course but does not appear on your roster to the Truax Enrollment Center or Downtown/Regional campus administrative offices to clarify his/her enrollment status.

Students who indicate they are dropping a class should be referred to the Truax Enrollment Center or Downtown/Regional campus administrative offices to be officially withdrawn and receive any financial credit applicable at the time the drop is reported.

Thank you for your assistance in maintaining accurate student records and ensuring compliance with the College’s reporting requirements.
