Re: E-mail Phishing Alert
A bogus email has been sent to some District e-mail accounts requesting email account information including user name and password. This e-mail is attempting to capture information regarding your e-mail account. Below is an example of this message (NOTE THE NUMBER OF MISSPELLINGS IN THE BOGUS E-MAIL):
Dear matcmadison.edu Subscriber,
We are currently carrying-out a mentaince process to your matcmadison.edu account, to complete this process you must reply to this email immediately, and enter your User Name here (———-) And Password here(———-) if you are the rightful owner of this account.
This process will help us to fight against spam mails. Failure to summit your password, will render your email address in-active from our database.
You can also confirm your email address by logging into your account at: http://stu.matcmadison.edu/
NOTE: You will be send a password reset messenge in 48 Hrs working days after undergoing this process for security reasons.
