CQI Communication Team Update
November 17, 2008 | wbessetteThe Communications CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) team, comprised of PSRP, administration, and faculty employees, would like to share the results of our efforts to date.
The team was charged with improving communication channels and the flow information at MATC, specifically the things that we all need know to do our jobs and feel a part of the MATC community. The team started work about a year ago identifying areas for improvement in college-wide communications.
We reviewed the results of the 2008 PACE survey and found that the lowest satisfaction in communication is among the PSRP population. We focused our attention on this group and developed the PSRP communication survey, which went out in June. Thanks to all PSRP staff who completed the survey.
As a result of the PSRP survey, the CQI team identified three key areas for improvement. The three areas include accurate notification of program changes and updates, announcements of new hires and staff changes, and delivery of college-wide information via MATC Matters. The CQI Communication Team will focus its efforts on improving communication of new hires and staff changes and enhancing the delivery of college-wide information via MATC Matters.
There are many facets of communication that are necessary to do our job here at MATC. While the CQI team cannot solve each and every communication break-down, we have focused our efforts on identifying common problems and making the necessary improvements. Thanks to all employees for your input on this issue.
