Scholarship Winners
November 25, 2008 | wbessetteThe MATC Foundation would like to congratulate the first scholarship recipients of the College Academic Advancement Program.
Due to the generosity of Wal-Mart, a scholarship was established to recognize individuals who returned to school through CPAAC programs such as English as a Second Language, GED/HSED, and Developmental/Adult Basic Education—then transitioned into degree credit coursework. The recipients included Angela Hall, Kunsang Moore, Brittany Otto, Tsamchoe Pelmo, Zang Thao, Aliou Traore, Akovi Wilson, and Cairang Zhuoma.
These students also met specific requirements that included utilizing college resources, meeting with CPAAC advisors, maintaining good academic standing and sharing their experiences with other students.
