MATC Matters

In case you haven’t heard, Doug Sanford’s memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 12. There will be a visitation immediately beforehand at 1 p.m. and a short luncheon immediately following the service.

The location is the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church, 720 E Madison Ave, Milton, WI  53563. Google estimates it takes about an hour to drive there from here.

Scholarship Fund:
Arrangements have been made for the MATC Madison Foundation to set up a scholarship fund in memoriam for Doug Sanford.    

Donations can be mailed as checks (made out to the MATC Madison Foundation) to:

It would be best to include a note with the check that it’s for Doug Sanford’s fund for the scholarship for the IT Programmer/Analyst Program to make sure it is routed correctly.  

You can also contribute through MATC Madison Foundation’s on-line donation site. You can use either a credit card or Pay Pal. Be sure to mention Doug Sanford’s name in the “Add special instructions to the seller” notes section.

The MATC foundation will keep track of the donations and then award a scholarship to a student in the IT-Programmer/Analyst program (this is the current version of the program Doug graduated from in 1994). The scholarship will be named the Doug Sanford Memorial Scholarship. 

Donors will receive an acknowledgement for tax purposes and the family will also be notified of the donations and the scholarship award.
