Beware of Bogus E-mail
January 12, 2009 | wbessetteA bogus email has been sent to some District e-mail accounts. It says your account has temporarily been suspended. This e-mail is attempting to capture information regarding your bank account. Below is an example of the bogus message:
Dear valued customer,
F&M Bank temporarily suspended your account.
Reason: Billing failure.
We must properly verify your account again.
Tips to unlock your F&M Bank account. - It’s Easy
Here’s how to get started:
1. Log in to online banking (CLICK HERE)
2. Follow the steps to update your personal records and you will not
run into any future problems with the online service.
3. Once you have completed these steps, we will send you an email
notifying that your account is available again.
4. Please allow (3) three business days for processing.
Note: Please do not reply to this email.
