Presidential Inauguration

Mark Tuesday, January 20 on your calendar.
MATC is holding a ceremony prior to the historic inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama. We will also be celebrating Martin Luther King Day.
The event begins at 10 a.m. in the Truax Student Lounge. MATC alumni and current State Representative Joe Parisi will be the guest speaker. After the ceremony you’re invited to watch Obama’s inauguration on the big screen.
MATC’s Truax library will also have a TV available to watch the inauguration. In addition, staff will be giving away a copy of the Obama books “Dreams From My Father” and “Audacity of Hope.” MATC’s other libraries are also scheduled to broadcast the inauguration.
The inauguration events are being sponsored by MATC College Democrats, Students For Barack Obama, Student Life and MATC Libraries.
