Stimulus Response Team
March 11, 2009 | wbessetteMATC has formed a Stimulus Response Team!
The team is chaired by Ed Clarke, with representation from the executive team, grants office, economic development, learner success and government relations. The team is meeting on a regular basis to serve as a central point of information on federal and state stimulus funding and initiatives.
The team will focus on four major areas:
INFORMATION: Creating a single point of information about the stimulus bill. Information arriving from different channels will be collected so the team may inform relevant MATC parties.
PRIORITIES: Identifying priorities to filter the numerous opportunities that may be available to MATC through stimulus funding.
CAPACITY: Assuring that funding which is identified, for which we apply, and which we implement, fits within MATC’s goals and capacity.
POLITICS: Identifying and developing appropriate community partnerships for stimulus-funded programs and projects.
Darcy Luoma from U.S. Senator Herb Kohl’s office will be speaking to the College Council on Tuesday, April 14th. She will help Council members understand the parameters of the federal stimulus bill and answer questions.
If you have any questions and/or information about the stimulus package, please contact Ed Clarke at (608) 246-6073.
